2009 May 23rd, Turunç

A Blue Rock Thrush seen on the roof where there are sun panels at about 17:00. It stayed there for a while and then flew off.

2008 October 11th, Dalyan

Heard the call of a Moorhen in the reeds, two Kingfishers flew from the reeds, two Sand Martins flew off, a Blue Rock Thrush on a rocky edge, heard the call of a Blackbird, a Lesser Whitethroat in a tree, heard the call of a Cetti's Warbler in the reeds, a Spotted Flycather on the top branch of a dead tree, heard the call of a Robin in the bushes, a Great Tit, heard the song of two Rock Nuthatches at the same moment from different directions, five House Sparrows and two Collared Doves seen at the location where the Nile Turtles seen in the Dalyan Canal.

2009 April 20th, Turunç

Nineteen Bee-eaters seen over the west forest and they flew to the north. A Blue Tit seen and heard its song. A Blue Rock Thrush seen in flight. A Red-rumped Swallow together with Barn Swallows and House Martins on the north. Heard the call of a Song Thrush near the hotel I work this morning and another one in the south forest after the sunset. A Blackbird on the north and another one in the south forest before the sunset. A Great Tit, a White Wagtail, House Sparrows and Collared Doves. Heard the call of a Scops Owl near the backyard of the hotel I work at 19:00 and heard another one in an old St. John's Bread Tree by the roadside on the south at 22:00.

2009 April 19th, Turunç

A Blue Rock Thrush perched on the top branch of a tree in the garden of a bar near the hotel I work and flew to the north after it sang there for a while. Two Jays (one of them mewed like a buzzard), two Great Tits in courtship, a Blackbird, Barn Swallows and House Martins, House Sparrows and Collared Doves.

2009 April 12th, Turunç

Heard the call of a Song Thrush in the garden of a neighbour hotel, a White Wagtail, a Blackbird, a Jay, a Great Tit, House Sparrows flew in small flocks at the same place as same as yesterday, a Blue Rock Thrush alighted on a chimney on the neighbour hotel and flew to the south after it singed for a while, a Raven appeared over a hotel on the mountain slope and flew to the north rocky hills at the edge of the shore and heard the loud rolled r-sound, heard the call of a Scops Owl in the same forest as same as yesterday at 10:00 and three of them sang in short intervals at 20:00 tonight, House Martins, Barn Swallows and Collared Doves.

2009 April 10th, Turunç

A Jay, three White Wagtails, two Blackcaps, a Blackbird, House Martins and Barn Swallows, a Great Tit, three Yellow-legged Gulls, heard the call of a Scops Owl in the forest on the west at 11:00, again from the same direction at 15:00 (first time I heard the call of a Scops Owl in day time) and from the same forest again a Scops Owl heard at 19:00, a Blue Rock Thrush alighted on the chimney of the hotel I work and it flew off after it went to the roof of the neighbour hotel by the shore, House Sparrows and Collared Doves.

2009 April 6th, Turunç

A Raven took a stroll around the hills near the downtown, a Blue Rock Thrush flew off from the neighbour land by the seaside, a Great Tit, a Blue Tit, a White Wagtail, a Blackbird was singing, House Martins and Barn Swallows, heard the call of a Scops Owl near the hotel at 21:30, House Sparrows and Collared Doves (Collared Doves at Turunç have very brown plumage).
