2008 October 11th, Horozlar

  • Little Grebe, over fifteen on canal
  • Little Grebe, over twenty on lake
  • Cormorant, over thirthy in flight
  • Little Egret, over twenty in marsh
  • Grey Heron, two perching in two different trees
  • Grey Heron, one in flight
  • Temminck's Stint, five in marsh
  • Redshank, one in marsh
  • Yellow-legged Gull, one in flight
  • Whiskered Tern, four in flight
  • Kingfisher, four in reedbed
  • Crested Lark, one on field
  • Hooded Crow, over fifteen strolling around on field

2008 October 11th, Dalyan

I saw a Little Owl in a tree at the Dalyan Harbour before we board the boat.

Two Little Grebes by the reeds, a Sparrowhawk was disturbed by six Jays over the hill while it was flying and later it disappeared behind the hill but Jays kept flying there and then two Hooded Crows joined the game of the Jays, later three Kestrels appeared at the same location and they started to fly together from one edge to another edge of the rocky cliff and they took the Jays and Hooded Crows away from their territory, at the location where the Nile Turtles seen in the Dalyan Canal.

And also this morning a Kingfisher was caught by a captain in his boat, I told him to let it go and he has done it. It went back its kingdom.

2008 October 13th, Horozlar

Six Hooded Crows, ten Corn Buntings perching in a leafless bush, a Little Grebe in the canal, a Marsh Harrier, four Little Egrets perching in the dead tree and fifteen Little Egrets together in the marsh, a Kingfisher flew off after Dalyan Mud Baths and two Kingfishers perching on the reeds near the marsh where I saw the Little Egrets, three Moorhens in the branch of the canal after the mud bath and six Cormorants in a pine wood by the mud bath at Horozlar.

2008 October 18th, Dalyan

A Peregrine Falcon and a Kestrel (both in flight), two Kingfishers in the canal, four Cormorants in flight and a dead Cormorant in water, two Red-backed Shrikes (both juvenile), a Spotted Crake in the branch oh the canal before the farm, fifteen Crested Larks, Hooded Crows at the other side of the canal, three Willow Warblers, three Goldfinches, heard the song of a Cetti's Warbler in the reeds, House Sparrows and Collared Doves around the farm by the Dalyan Canal.

2008 October 20th, Dalyan

A Kestrel perching on the top of a tree, heard the call of a Little Owl (day time), a Jay strolling around the bushes on the rocky hill slopes, nearly fourty Hooded Crows and six Crested Larks, ten White Wagtails on the ground of a field, a Grey Wagtail in a ditch by the same field, a Kingfisher flew over the Dalyan Canal, all these observed near the farm by the canal.

2008 October 23rd, Dalyan

A Marsh Harrier, two Kestrels, five Moorhens, a Kingfisher, a Little Owl, ten Collared Doves, eleven Crested Larks, a White Wagtail, four Jays and nearly seventy Hooded Crows around the farm by the Dalyan Canal.

2008 October 26th, Dalyan

A Sardinian Warbler at Maraş Str., a Cetti's Warbler, a Cormorant, a Kestrel on the top of an electricity poll, ten Hooded Crows, fourteen Meadow Pipits, three Crested Larks, four Stonechats, a Kingfisher, two Chiffchaffes, a Goldfinch, Collared Doves and House Sparrows around the farm by the Dalyan Canal.

2009 February 16th, Dalyan

Two Collared Doves near the farm by the Dalyan Canal, lots of Crested Larks at fields near the canal, a Wood Lark in a field by the garden of a restaurant before the Sulungur Lake, Crag Martins and House Martins flying together over Maraş Str., Meadow Pipits at fields, four White Wagtails,nearly twenty Hooded Crows in a field and nearly fifty Hooded Crows both perching on the trees and strolling around and House Sparrows.

2009 March 28th, Çıtlık

Alpine Swifts and Barn Swallows everywhere along the Çıtlık Highway, Hooded Crows at the fields and a Kestrel was hovering on a field.
